Bernward mourut en 1022 au monastère Saint-Michel et fut enterré dans la crypte. La consécration de l'ensemble de l'église eut lieu le jour de la Saint-Michel 1033 par le succésseur de Bernward, Gothard

Bernward verstarb 1022 im Michaeliskloster und wurde in der Krypta bestattet. Die Weihe der gesamten Kirche erfolgte am Michaelistag 1033 durch Bernwards Nachfolger Godehard

Bernward died in the St. Michael's monastery in 1022 and was buried in the crypt. The consecration of the entire church took place on Michaelmas Day 1033 by Bernward's successor Gotthard

Le monastère bénédictin resta en place jusqu'à la sécularisation en 1803 et put utiliser la chapelle Saint-Michel dans le cloître ainsi que la crypte de Saint Bernard pour les offices

Der Benediktinerkonvent blieb bis zur Säkularisation 1803 bestehen und durfte die kleine Michaeliskirche im Kreuzgang sowie die Bernwardskrypta zum Gottesdienst nutzen

However, the Benedictine monastery remained in existence until the secularisation in 1803 and was allowed to use the little St. Michael's Chapel in the cloister as well as the Bernward's Crypt for services

L'église fut fermée en 1809 et utilisés par l'hôpital qui se trouvait dans le monastère Saint-Michel depuis la sécularisation en 1803. Au début des années 1930, cet établissement de soins hébergeait un bon millier de patients souffrant de maladies psychiques et/ou de handicaps physiques. 440 patients furent évacués et assassinés en 1941

1809 wurde die Kirche geschlossen und von der seit der Säkularisation im Jahr 1803 im Michaeliskloster untergebrachten Krankenanstalt genutzt. Sie bestand von 1827 bis 1943. Zu Beginn der 1930er Jahre beherbergte diese Heil- und Pflegeanstalt gut 1000 psychisch kranke und/oder körperlich behinderte Patienten. 1941 wurden etwa 440 Patienten abtransportiert und ermordet

In 1809, the church was closed and used by the hospital that had been housed in the Michael Monastery since secularisation in 1803. It existed from 1827 to 1943. At the beginning of the 1930s, this sanatorium and nursing home housed a good 1000 mentally and/or physically disabled patients. In 1941, about 440 patients were transported away and murdered
