L'édifice roman précedent, construit entre 1125 et 1141, fut incendié lors de la destruction de la ville en 1199-1200 par les troupes de l'archevêque de Magdebourg et du roi Philippe de Souabe

 Der romanische Vorgängerbau wurde zwischen 1125 und 1141 errichtet. Dieser wurde im Zuge der Zerstörung der Stadt zur Jahreswende 1199-1200 durch Truppen des magdeburgischen Erzbischofs und des Königs Philipp von Schwaben niedergebrannt

The Romanesque predecessor building was erected between 1125 und 1141. This was burnt down in the course of the destruction of the city at the turn of the year 1199-1200 by troops of the Archbishop of Magdeburg and King Philip of Swabia

L'édifice actuel de style gothique a commencé vers 1230. L'église fut consacrée en 1300
