Le château devint en 1366 la propriété du duc Magnus de Brunswick. Accordé en fief de 1485 à 1547 à la famille de Morungen, il revint ensuite à l'administration de Sangerhausen

Im Jahr 1366 gelangte die Burg in den Besitz von Herzog Magnus von Braunschweig. Von 1485 bis 1547 wurde die Burg als Lehen an die Familie von Morungen vergeben und fiel danach an das sächsische Amt Sangerhausen zurück

In 1366, the castle came into the possession of Duke Magnus of Brunswick. From 1485 to 1547, the castle was granted as a fief to the Family of Morungen and then reverted to Sangerhausen
