L'édifice actuel porte les traces de son histoire mouvementée. Le transept nord-sud avec la tour de croisée ainsi que la tour occidentale rectangulaire sont romans, la nef est gothique, la lanterne de la croisée est baroque

L'église a commencé à tomber en ruine au 18ème siècle. Elle servait au début du 19ème siècle d'étable et de grenier. Elle fut à nouveau consacrée après sa restauration en 1875
