Dieser Teich diente als Wasserreservoir für die Gruben aus Sankt Andreasberg um die unterirdischen Wasserräder antreiben zu können (für die Erzförderung und das Herauspumpen der Wasser)

This pond served as a water reservoir for the mines from Sankt Andreasberg to operate the water wheels (for the ore extraction and the water pumping)
