Le village se forma autour du monastère dépendant de l'abbaye de Moutier-d'Ahun (Creuse) et de celle de Cluny en 1611. Le prieuré resta en activité jusqu'à sa vente comme bien national en 1791 après la Révolution

Das Dorf wurde um das Kloster herum gegründet, das von der Abtei Moutier-d'Ahun und ab 1611 der Abtei Cluny abhängig war. Das Priorat blieb in Betrieb bis zu seinem Verkauf als Nationaleigentum im Jahr 1791

The village was formed around the monastery dependent on the abbey of Moutier-d'Ahun and that of Cluny in 1611. The priory remained in activity until its sale as national property in 1791 after the Revolution
